Jim Rohn once said, “If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.”
Summary
Networking Plan, I laid out a clear, intentional roadmap for aligning my career with my values: integrity, innovation, and service. I explored several career options, including scaling my current leadership role, consulting, teaching, and mentoring, and used a Career Decision Matrix to assess how each path fits with my personal themes. I also identified challenges like evolving technology, limited local connections, and defining the next chapter of my career, while outlining opportunities for growth, mentorship, and impact. With detailed SMART goals and Gantt charts, I’ve committed to expanding my professional network, especially in education, nonprofit, and consulting spaces. This plan is more than a task—it’s a blueprint for purpose-driven leadership and long-term fulfillment.
Self-Reflection
Creating this networking plan helped me step back and see my career through a more intentional lens. I’ve always believed in helping others and leading with purpose, but this process gave me a structure to pursue that more boldly. As Zig Ziglar said, “You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.” That quote really speaks to what I’m trying to do shift from reacting to opportunities to actively shaping what’s next. I know I have the experience and support to make a meaningful impact; now I’m building the connections and clarity to move forward with purpose.
